12 August 2016 – Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. met with Mr. Helal M.A. Al Hameli, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, at the latter’s office at the Abu Dhabi Chamber Building on August 09.
Ambassador Vingno and Deputy Director Al Hameli noted the strong bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE, and expressed commitment to enhance trade and investment relations through cooperation and future collaboration.
Ambassador Vingno lauded the Abu Dhabi Chamber for its notable accomplishments over the years, including its Members Services Center that hosts 28 public and private entities which provide licenses and services for its 100,000 member-companies. He added that this is a significant contribution in making Abu Dhabi an attractive investment destination for international companies.
Deputy Director Al Hameli, for his part, expressed hope that trade volume would further increase between the two countries. He noted the increasing number of tourists from the UAE to the Philippines, and the contribution of Filipino expatriates to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and to the UAE in general.
Mr. Al Hameli assured Ambassador Vingno of the Chamber’s support and assistance to any visiting trade and investment delegations from the Philippines and other related activities such as seminars or fora to enhance economic relations among the private sector of both countries and to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
