30 May 2016 – Philippine Embassy representatives led by Madame Yoko Ramos Vingno attended the film screening of the independent film entitled, “Partition,” held on May 20 at Novo Cinema, World Trade Centre Mall in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
The movie, produced by All for Christ Church International (ACCI), is inspired by true events and stories of Filipinos living in the UAE. It is a story of the challenges faced by eight Filipinos staying in one flat separated only by curtain partitions. The movie aims to serve as a reminder why Filipinos leave their families and their country, to emphasize the importance of preparing for eventual reintegration back to the Philippines, and to educate loved ones back home the challenges and temptations of being an OFW and to encourage them to value the hard-earned money sent back home.
Joining Madame Yoko Ramos Vingno was Third Secretary and Vice Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, Finance Officer Begonia Legisniana, and Attachés Anna Lyn Vergara and Brenda Auro. Pastor Willy Ricafrente of ACCI expressed gratitude after the film showing for the Embassy’s presence. END
