JOINT PHILIPPINE EMBASSY AND MWO ABU DHABI COMMUNITY OUTREACH DELIVERS 329 SERVICES IN MADINAT ZAYED, AL DHAFRA


20 July 2024, Madinat Zayed, Al Dhafra, Western Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE— In a historic first, the Philippine Embassy and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Abu Dhabi’s Joint Community Outreach delivered 329 services to the local Filipino community. The said activity covered the full range of Embassy and MWO services, including consular (passport, notarial, civil registration), welfare, contract verification, Overseas Voting registration, among other frontline services.
“Given the many developments here in the UAE and in the Philippines, including the manner of service delivery and the need to continuously improve it, the landscape for our kababayan has indeed significantly changed over the past years. With these outreach activities– with the one here in Madinat Zayed being the first of its kind, and the first for this year– the Embassy is committed to bring its services closer to the Filipino community, wherever they may be in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or in the UAE,” said Philippine Ambassador to the UAE H.E. Alfonso Ver.
According to reports from several Filipino community members and organizations, there is a growing number of Filipinos in Madinat Zayed which prompted the Embassy to bring its services closer to the local community. Madinat Zayed is approximately 159 kilometers from the capital city of Abu Dhabi.
